Exclamation Neutral Safety Switch???

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, i did a quick search and found nothing.
I just bought a 94 f150 supercab and long story short, it wont start properly. mechanic that the dealer sent it to before asking me(a whole nother story) says its the "neutral safety switch" or the switch that keeps the car from starting in drive for instance

anyway, he says its a switch on the tranny that is bad. he says though that not only is it not bad, there is no power going to it. which could be that there is an anti theft device. he says he thinks it may come stock like that or that someone added one on. and if it -is- that, that he would just remove the anti theft thingamajagger and there ya go.

so he rigged up a wire from lord knows where to the battery that allows me to turn the car on. i have to open the hood and touch the wire to the battery to start it. he says i need to fix the switch to get rid of the wire. and since the switch is not getting any power, it all still wont work properly but that he could bypass the switches power source to get it to turn on properly.

anyone know what this dude is talking about?
can anyone give me any pointers? and if this is posted, sorry, but could you point me in that threads direction? thanks a million in advance.

its sitting in his shop right now getting the master cylinder replaced cause it wont hold fluid at all he says. he says he checked the rest of the brake system and all is well. i would have done it myself but where its at right now, its like 5-7 miles away from my house and it was either leave it there for the dude to rape my wallet or get it towed and have the tow truck guy rape my wallet. when i was done paying 85 bucks for just the hook up with the tow company and then probably another dollar or two a mile, i could have just payed another 20-30 bucks to get the brakes to work perfect. plus, i cut my hand real bad and am out of commision as far as working on the truck goes

thats probably the last time anyone else touches her though . . . all me from here on in. with all you guys' help of course

ok, lay it on me. . . thanks again guys
