110 mph - 04 5.4, diablo 93 tune, k&N drop in, MIT intake tube, flowmaster 40 series. By the way I smoked my buddies stock duramax and backed off at 110. The new fords will flat out get it if you invest a little cash.
Took the needle just a little past 120 and the truck started taking up both lanes of the highway. These 6000+pound 4x4's were not designed to run that fast. I am certin that if you could keep it under control, and had the proper speed rated tires that it could easily top 135-140 given enough room. I will NOT attempt another top end run on the 295/70/17 Nitto Terras...
Don't forget the speed ratings on your tires guys. I'd hate for one of you to blow a tire at that speed...
Good point, I was racing a Toyota 4x4 truck in my Jetta last week, got to about 120-130, dropped him.. he finally caught up after I backed off and I let him pass. A mile up the road his tire blew, fortunately he kept control, but man.. that coulda been ugly.
.. and No, I didn't wave as I passed him on the side of the road. haha.
