Slow going
My 79 F150 rebuild is just dragging. I got my short block done but the Bronco needs 2 new back tires right now and last week I managed to grind up and flat spot the slicks on my race car skidding backwards and sideways through the finish line at around 109. I also hit a deer but fortunately(uh, not with the race car, LOL) it didn't damage the bumper much. I have one little poke dent where the bumper tapped the frame and then came back out(mostly).

Well there's your problem! You were on the brakes! You are supposed to be hammer down at the finish line. (lol) Then you wouldn't have those flat spots.
