Reverse Sensing System

Anybody actually have this option and if so do you like it. Never would of considered it before, but now with kids of my own I can see the benefit - especially with the high rear on the F150.

Can you turn it off if your hooking up a trailer or something - I can see that could drive you nuts.

I figured it was worthless, but I ordered it anyway. Now I wish all of my vehicles had it!!!

There is a button to turn it off. If you turn it off, it defaults back to the on position the next time you turn the ignition switch on. (thats a safety feature for us old farts that tend to forget things easily)

By far one of the best choices i made. It is a lot harder to judge distance with the newer f150 with the higher bed than it was with the older style and this makes it a piece of cake. I would suggest it to all.

works perfect and helps alot especially when parking near all those little civics etc. at first i didnt think i needed it because the truck was so square but it doesnt cost too much and gets you right into position when backing out. it also impresses people that never seen it.

Best thing they ever put on for safety and sure is accurate, will never be without this feature.. They should make this mandatory on all vehicle, would save a lot of dings in vehicles of others.

It was one of the items my F150 had to have after having it on my Superduty. The Super was the first vehicle I had it on and I loved it. As stated above you can turn it off. You will find if the tailgate is down it will go nuts, and if you live in an area with snow the snow will swirl up and stick to the sensors making them go nuts.

My 250 has it cause it was on there. I would not have bought it if I ordered the truck, Hey I just love it!! I park up against a street sign and the old 78 has hit it numerous times, now I never hit it! Was surprised it picked up the small post but works great.

I did ask Ford if they could put sensors on the front, engage by pushing in the button, I think it would be a great option as it is hard to judge parking posts once they disappear from hood sight!

Once you have it you wont want to be without it!

Ditto with everybody. It was on mine but after having it I don't want to be without one. It takes some getting use to as mine will sometimes give false readings. I am told there was a tsb but I just havent taken it in yet.
I find that it has spoiled me and sometimes I catch myself depending on it too much!
go for it, you'll be glad ya did!

I wasn't planning on getting it on my '05, but it was either pay $2000 more to get the color that I wanted with the nicer wheels and the tubular step bar, as well as the reverse sensing system, or get a color that I hated with wheels that I didn't like, as well as get the step bar installed. I'm glad that I did since it makes lining up the trailer to the hitch a snap. The system usually puts the hitch of the trailer right over the ball on the drawbar, as long as I do my part in lining it up crosscar (or crosstruck). Since this is the first bug truck that I have owned, this makes getting used to the size a lot easier. I'll be looking for it on my next truck.

Someone does now have front sensors. I think it is Ford, it is available on one of their new model SUvs or vans...Talk about them picking up small objects, I was backing around ina mowed hay field when the alarm went off. I just knew there was nothing to hit in this mowed field. I jumped out to check, I was wrong, there were three blades of uncut hay, about three foot tall.. I never thought it would pickup anything this small, wrong...Better safe than sorry..

GET IT!!! It could not work better. MUST HAVE!!! The biggest problem I have with it is when I get in my other vehicles and I keep expecting notice when I get close to something.

Get it

Definitely get the reverse sensing system...When I was at the dealer test driving the truck I was like, yea whatever... But I will tell you one thing, since this is my first truck I have ever owned I could not have gotten a better option. Not only has it sensed the kids bike more than once, it has saved a lot of vehicles in the parking garage at work...I wouldn't want to even gues how long it would have taken me to back out of those spots without it or the cars I would have backed into....Only thing to I will warn you about is when it snows, brush them off, otherwise they go crazy....I kept jumping in and out of the truck trying to figure out what was going on..

The drum beating continues. Great option but should be standard. It has kept me from backing over several undisiplined urchins in the local Walmart lot. Also kept the wife from backing over me!
