smoker9000,

Well, you could call a number of companies that handle drop I-beams. they bolt in.
Or, you could cut out that front susp. and graft in a mustang II set-up.
Or, you could smoke wrench the original set-up and weld in a volare.
Or, you could call another company that will hook you up with double wishbone job.
Or, you could custom fit a set of air bags.
Or, well... you know what I mean. Chack out the search function, this is a popular topic that should yield a lot of hits.

I used AIM drop I-Beams (approx 3 inches lower). Took about an afternoon.

Can't cut the springs...if you do, you will have a bow-legged, undrivable truck. That trick won't work on Twin-I-Beam trucks.
Pretty much what he said above.

The 61-64 trucks have a solid axle, these also have leaf springs up front, which I don't think you have. The axles are solid, but flex independently of each other. You reallly need to get the drop beams to lower your truck correctly. Step back and look at your suspension, then vision what the front wheels will do if you cut the springs. There is no toe adjustment on these old rides and nobody will touch trying to bend your beams to make the tires right again....

For a 66 to have a straight axle it would have to be the F350 or higher. The st. axle was dropped at the end of 64 for the F100 & 250 pickups.
