Hello Everyone! I have a 2002 Explorer sport 4WD and found that the rear seal has leaked all over the inside of the passenger side tire. I am not sure how much oil leaked out or long it has been like that. HOW BAD IS IT TO DRIVE IT THAT WAY??? How much is this going to cost me to get fixed?

Isn't this a independent rear? If so, it's likely a constant velocity joint and it's grease that's spun out of the boot. This can be minor or major depending on how long it's been that way, how much grease is left around the joint and how much dirt and water have gotten up in there. So you might be able to clean it up, regrease and install a split boot or you might need to replace the entire axel shaft.
No, the Sports are the older solid axle design. They will need to remove the axle on the bad seal side, replace the seal, put it all back together. I had a quote for under $200 to do it. It needs to be done but make sure your differential oil level is good before going to much further.
Thank you all for the advise on the rear axle. With all the oil like substance on the inside of my tire I was advised that it was the rear axle and that I need to replace the seal. I took my Explorer into have my oil changed so they can check the differential fluid and make sure i wasn't to low to continue driving it and the mechanic there advised me that the problem is with my brakes. I am leaking brake fluid from inside the chamber(if that is what they call it). He checked all the lines and they are clean therefore its something internal. ANY ADVISE on this and how much this might costs me.
Oh, it is probably a leaky wheel cylinder. Those are fairly cheap (less than $20) and easy to fix. You MAY have to replace a small piece of brake line as well.
Does your 02 Sport have rear disc brakes? I just checked PartsAmerica and thhey show that it does. A remanufactured rear caliper for your truck is $36. If you do the work your self you will need to bleed the brake line after installing it. It is not that difficult to do. I am not sure what a mechanic would charge you for the work. Shouldn't be over 2 hours labor, say $140, parts and new brake fluid- $50. Under $200 is my guess.
