Hi all! I have a question about the interior of my 1979 Ford F-150. It currently has trim around the gauge cluster and around the glovebox, silver with an orange applique where most are black (between the chrome outline). The piece around the glovebox is badly cracked with an ugly previous repair, so I want to replace. Currently, there is a used piece on eBay, black with the silver trim, but there is also a woodgrain dash insert for the gauge cluster. Did Ford make a woodgrain piece to go around the glovebox (not on the glovebox door) to match the gauge cluster trim? If so, how hard are these to come by? Pricing? On what models was different interior trim used (I'm told that on some there was no trim around the glovebox). Right now, bids are at $10 for the glovebox trim (not the piece on the door but about 2-3 inches away and around it), regular gauge trim is about $20 or so, and woodgrain gauge trim runs $40-$60. Is that good? Thanks!
I have never seen the wood grain inserts for sale or new suround trim pieces. I found a good one out of a parted out truck. I'm going to check on having wood grain insert to match my other wood at a custom boby shop but it looks like it would be hard.
