tire pressure
Ok guys I read every day I love this forum and my truck . 5500 miles got it 7-16-05 BSEG everyday. I try to do every thing to the book. On the door it says 75 lbs. front and back I just read from Fred 60 front 70 is this what I should change it to back empty. I also have to thank Charlie and Fred and all you guys for giving me BSEG my truck is 05 v10 4x4 crew cab 265x70x17. I am getting from 10.3 to 14.2 mpg
I always run 70 all around empty and bump her up to 80 on the back when I put the Camper on. I don't notice a big difference in ride and my tires are wearing nice, no cupping on the front. All my older 4x4s use to cup the tires real bad but since my 88 F250 4x4 , they all wear tires pretty evenly. I don't know if the tires are better or they did something to the front ends. Take care.
I just noticed you have 17s, and I have 18s, not sure if that changes anything.

I used to run max all around and with the new coil front have decided that 60 in the front on an empty truck seems to stay a little more stable on the road at high speeds.
I think you can safely run empty truck with between 55 to 70 front and rear with no ill effects. The less air the higher fuel consumption... more air harsher ride quality.
Of course with a serious load on, then you need to weight the load and air up accordingly. Many of us just pump them up to the max on the side wall and get on the road.
