well its finally here. 05 f250 cc sb v10 ts 4x4 4.30ls dark shadow gray xlt captain chairs 6cd,adj ped,alum rims 17",pirellitires. ok i have 75 miles on it my first observations are it gets up and goes 1st and 2nd gear are great but 3rd is a little far spaced yes i have the bseg. exhaust sound i do not like. first mods are 35/12.50r/17 dunlop mud rover tires on stock rims i think i wont have to lift it. 2nd mod is a tuner as soon as one is available hope to let it rev more shifts to quick for my taste. bought truck for $33050 at hixson autoplex from chuck hill in alex La. cant wait for it too really break in so i can really se what it can do. truck is smooth does not give the impression its that strong but i believe it is fast. got a friend with a 2500 hd 6.0 vortec cc that wants to run i think i can take him i will post back later. learned a lot from this site thanks to everyone.

I was in Alexandria last year mainly at Camp Beaureguard doing a test.
I know hixson and it sounds like you got a good deal.
Watch the stupids on that funky road network you all got there. More idiots per mile than any other place I have ever been!
When you do jump up to 35s pleasepost becaus that is why I got the 4.30:1 so I could go up a tire size and not kill cruising rpms.
OH what freaquing EXHAUST sound do you not like... I spin mine up all the time and can't tell the motor is running! Most quiet truck I have ever owned.

fredvon i work at camp beauregard at csms in the canvas shop stop by one day . i too am curious to see how much rpm those 35s will drop it. currently 60mph is 2000 rpm ,70 is 2250to 2300 depending on where you spot the needle. to me i like a nice throaty rumble like my magnaflow was on my 5.4l f150 that i traded the v10 to me is to quiet and kinda ricer sounding from the outside, also would like a deeper sounding intake when you get on it i mean this a v10 it should be heard also i think the 5000rpm shift pt is way to low for ohc motors ford need st up it some. i hope those 35s put me at about 2000 rpm at 70 might help mpg some. i know i didnt buy it for economy but i did take the 4.30s so as to keep the power when i put the bigger tires on and maybe i might just pickup on mpg that my thinking we'll see

good luck man. i've got 500 miles on mine now. what a sweet truck. towed my big boat out to have it sold never knew i had it back there.
gage i got mine in 4 weeks guess its up to the dealer and how many on is allotment.

good luck with it when it gets here , mine is every thing that fred and wrench said it would be plus. this v10 is unreal. the mountain i live on top of [25% grade for 1 1/2 miles] is no problem.
