Neglected Cement floor

I am helping a freind and need some advise relating to his garage floor. The floor is suffering of 30 years of neglect and sagging. As is typical in New England the salt has done a number on the floor. We are trying to level it a little as well as fill in the large pits. What are some recommendations or things we should look for.

Thanks
Ken

The floor can be acid etched and a skim coat of special concreted can be floated/squeeged on. I did a 1 car garage for a friend a few years ago, took a gallon of muriatic acid and 10 bags of skim coat. Over $100 in supplies and it took a few hours. The job held up fine.

What about self leveling cement.

Do some research online. It's been 15 years since the last job I did but there are products that will self-level, set within 36 hours and hold up to fork lifts. The company I worked for did maintenance and repair in grocery stores. The freight receiving areas often needed resurfacing. Wish I could tell you more but my job was coordinating the contractor and the store, not doing the repair. I think there is a Portland Cement Association that probably has a web site.
