The other day i was out scrounging at a junk yard and came across a huge ford ltd.It reminded me off the olds 88 that my folks had when i was a kid.
The strange thing about this car is it looks like its new, theres not a scratch on it,and the inside is mint.I can only asoom that that this car is eary 70s.It came with a 390 and had a radio on the left side of the streeing wheel.
The motor and tranny were pulled, but thats not a prob iv got tons of fe parts.Im thinking highway cruiser.
I have a 427 that came out of a gallexy that i was going to puy in my 4by but i built the 410 instead.A c6 and a gear vendors overdrive with some 3.08 or maybe some 3.23 gears in the 9inch should get this car to move.
Being a big fan of the blue oval i cant resest to grab this cherry automoble. But i dont know of any companys that make parts for ltd's.Any ideas or suggestions?
I dont see to many cars like this at the local cruise ins.
Thanks guys ive not looked much into it but now i know were to start. The side badge at the front of the car says 390 so i can only think this came with one.
If you're ever looking for information on any strange, old, or unique type of car, always look to ebay!
Go to ebay motors, click on ford. On the left side of the screen, select ford, between 1970 and 1979, and use keyword LTD...there are 13 LTDs from the 70s on there, all with a bunch of pics.
