Aftermarket exhaust
I recently installed a Banks Monster exhaust. I picked up three boxes from my local 4X4 supply store took them home. I read the parts list and checked off all the parts to ensure a complete kit. I then read and re-read the installation directions. I even had a brochure from Banks that said the installation would take about 1 hour. The directions said that I would need to put the fron end on stands to easily pull the down pipe. I don't have stands so I put the fron wheels on the curb. I then got out my tools and crawled under the truck. With a socket wrench in my hand I looked at what was to be the first bolt removed. Suddenly it occurred to me that I would be better off taking the truck to a muffler shop and paying a professional. I made an appointment for Monday morning. It took two men two hours to R&R the exhaust...and they had lifts, proper tools and experience. Now that it's all said and done this was the best decision I could have made. So, performance. I don't have a dyno but the truck feels more powerful and has a deeper note. I'm hoping to pick up a couple MPG. Regardless...it looks good!
