I have a bench seat in my 84 F350. I have no idea what its out of. It may not even be a Ford seat.
After measuring it up, it looks like it would fit great in my '56 (but its the wrong color!)
If i could figure out what it is, maybe i could get another
Any help would be appreciated
It does have that GM look to it, maybe 88 and later GM truck. Head out to a local wrecking yard and see if you can find something similar. It looks like a nice seat
Thanks for the help fellas. It measures approx. 57" at the widest part which seems to be a couple inches narrower than a full size ford seat I measured.
My '56 Cab measures about 59" from inside door to inside door. (at the part where the seat bottom would be and with no door panels on )
I would say a 90' GM, I had a 454 SS with buckets, but my buddy had a 90' chevy with the same style.
I have heard good things about the new GM truck/Tahoe seats with the seat belts built in. Hind sight being 20/20 I would have gone that route, but I acted too fast and bought buckets out of a 2000 Explorer. At least it's still Ford.
Up until Sept-06-05 I worked at the largest wrecking yard in Central Oregon. That is 100% GM truck bench seat. The vintage appears to be the style used in the 88-95/6 (interior style change in late 95 for 96 model year). The seatbelts appear to be of the early style for newer GMs. Our yard would of asked around $100-$150 for that seat if it was in the yard and not the showroom. It is from a regular or poss. crewcab truck.
