Progress on my 302 rebuild
Its starting to look like a motor. I have the short block done and on the stand now and its painted new shiney Ford corporate blue. The timing cover went on natural aluminum but I painted the water pump and oil pan. I had to take a little time out on the truck to go buy new racing slicks for the hot rod due to skidding and sliding sideways and chewing mine up. The heads will have to wait until next month.
I wanted to run a one piece fuel pump eccentric but it wouldn't fit behind the timing cover with the double roller timing set. I decided to leave it off and convert to an electric fuel pump. The motor will crank up a bit easier with an electric pump anyway.
Does anybody have any suggestions on a switched lead I could catch back around the gas tank for an electric fuel pump or will I have to run one from up front?

When I did a TBI to Carb conversion on a 80's caddy, I T'd into the oil pressure sending unit and used a pressure actuation fuel switch.
Then I installed an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
