Thanks everyone, I will give this info to my customer. Its absolutely amazing that the farmers and ranchers that still use these old trucks. The NAPA I work at has a really good Heavy Duty section along with auto and truck parts, I love the customers look on their face when i can help. I will refer to you my friends here on FTE.
Glad we found something. Those engines generate a lot of heartache when it comes to parts. Imagine a fire truck that still looks brand new and you can't find a water pump. Can't find a water pump for a fire truck!
Also glad to hear from someone at NAPA who can talk about the medium/heavy stuff. Take care and good luck!
nobrandx, if Rockauto has those Gates 180 degree thermostats, I'm sure you could source them from somewhere too, through Napa. Or does Napa only deal in parts that come in from the main company?
I know a lot of "regular" auto parts stores around here (not chains/franchises) deal with a slew of local parts warehouses. At some point up that chain, is the same place RockAuto is getting them from.
I can use some other sources like amazon, etc, I been in parts for 7 years, automotive tires and service 20 plus years, as much as old farm trucks are still being used I like to have as much info as possible to anyone that needs help, online or in person
