As far as I know, this tire has NEVER been produced. It has been on backorder for like 2 years now.

Carnivore, I ordered a set from the tire rack back in MARCH !!!!! They told me that they were backordered when I ordered mine. I waited till August then cancelled my order. I found a set at my dealership but your gonna pay for'em. You might check with your local dealer and see if they can get a set.

I called and my sales person said yes they did have problems before, but they just had a huge inventory in september and they are all sold out. They expect another large shipment in the next 4-6 weeks.

Ahh, the infamous 95290 backorder!

Up here in Ontario Canada, the tire was backordered from September 04 to September 05. What a wait!

However, the tire was made available (about 80 units) in December last year for Nissan Dealers only (for use on the Titan).

Needless to say, since availibilty in September we have sold many of these!
I almost had to go to the washroom when they came in!

my brother just had the bfg 285/65/18 all terrains installed on an 05 fx4 screw last Saturday. Firestone ordered them Friday and installed them first thing the next day, Saturday morning. Man they look awesome, smooth, no vibes. No back order for the all terrains in south eastern PA area....

First bfg tire shop I went to in town had a set of four 285/65/18s. I would suggest calling around to see who has some in stock.

Once I got the balancing and air pressure right, I can say ride is much better than stock.

Several of the places have them but they are $80 more per tire. Tire rack has them for $207 a tire. My local tire shop can get them in a week for $300 a tire and sears can get them in a week for $250 a tire. Ill wait the 10 weeks to save a few hundred.

G$$, dhave you had any problems with rubbing in the front with the new bfg's. I've have mud flaps in front that are around 1/4-1/2" thick. With the spacer kit on front and Toyo M/T's (33"), I had rubbing which is why I ordered the BFG's.
