electronic speedo sender

I know this has been talked about at some point in the past but I can't find the answer.

I need an electronic speedo sender to fit a 78 f250 with a NP 205

Is there a later model ford part that fits? It will be hooked up to an autometer speedo.

Any one know a part number?

Nigel, I don't have a part number for you but I pulled mine off an 80's(?) E250 van. It was an auto tranny. The electronic sender had a cable plugged into the back of it as well and then 2 tires. I pulled the cable and just took the sending unit and it fits right into the 205 t-case. I don't know if you have a self pull yard there but if so just climb under a few of the newer vans/trucks and see if you can find one. Mine cost me $2. All you do is ground one of the wires and run the other to the signal terminal on the speedo. Works like a charm.

any one else have additional details unfortunitely we don't have a you pull it place around here.

Mid 90's PSD and a lot of the Ford cars used a bolt in 8 pulse per rev sender with no speedo cable. I got one at the Autozone and told them it was a 94 F250 PSD.
