Ranger......GT???
so I was at the salvage yard the other day, and I came across a sight....a mid to late 80's Ranger long bed regular cab I-4 that HAD bucket seats. and now for the interesting part. it had a full wrap around body kit and on the rocker panels it had "RANGER GT" moulded into the side skirts.
Is this a rarity, or just an aftermarket body kit? I was considering getting it and putting it up on ebay.
and for my last question....would any of you be interested in it? I don't have that body style ranger anymore, and I was just wanting to "hook a brotha up" if any of you were interested in it.

Ken00: yes that is it exactly!! I was really tempted just to get the body kit and see if any of you wanted it, but I thought I'd see before I spent my hard earned cash on it.
James, are you asking for the entire truck, or just the body kit? I bet I could get the body kit for under $200, no guarantee though.
I think I'll pick it up anyhow, and give you guys first crack at it then to the 'bay it goes.

Ranger GT?
Since nobody else answered this I will. No such thing as a Ranger GT with a wrap around body style that I have ever seen. I have specification sheets on Rangers from 86 to 97 though so could be wrong. xl, xlt, highrider, stx but no GT that I know of. I would assume custom aftermarket body panels on that one. Anyone else that can confirm an avail GT version feel free to say so. Would look hard to find one here..lol You take any pics of it by any chance? Would love to have a look.

no pics, but I did go down to the ford dealer and found out that FORD made a dealer only GT body kit, that was not available from any other sources but the dealer, installed BY the dealer. they were painted at the factory for color consistancy, and ordered by the dealers as an option

ahhh... that makes sense then. I dont think this option was avail in Canada. Too bad really. I found this on ebay though.. Is this close?
