A little towing help please.

I lost my fifth wheel in Chokoloskee (near Everglades City) in Hurricane Wilma.

I never towed the old trailer because it was on site when I bought my lot. I am replacing it with a much larger 5th wheel with all of the goodies available today.

The question is, how heavy can I go and still be able to tow the trailer out of harms way if another storm threatens South Florida next summer?

Please keep in mind that unless another storm threatens, this trailer could sit for up to fifteen years. However, if we get another season like this last one I could be moving it often.

My truck is a 2006 F250 CC PSD

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

I think an 05 250 is rated around 12,000 pounds for a weight-distributing trailer, and something more - maybe 13,000 - for a 5th wheel. I never can find my towing specs book when I need it....

Depending on chassis/axle ratio, 5th wheel rating is up to 17,000 Lbs. (GCWR)
