hyper break??
I pull a 5th wheel with may f250 7.3 and am looking for options to slow me down going down those big hills in Calf. I had larger breaks put on the 5th wheel, but just recently had the breaks redone on the truck. Cost was over $1000 with ford. Ive read a little about the jake break and exhaust break. during my research the Hyper break came up. Its sure priced right, but has anyone used it? If i understand it right its basicly the same thing the new SD's us to slow down. let off the gas and the engine slows you down. i need some feed back before i purchase it.

from what you say of it, it just sounds like a Torque Converter lock switch. it just locks the TC and lets the engine's compression do the work. i would go over to the 7.3 forum, there are a bunch of people who used their Exhaust BackPressure Valve as an exhaust brake with good results. there is a recent post by Kwikkordead that showed a link on how he did his. "jake brakes" are impossible for T444E's (powerstrokes) as you need to completely re-design the valvetrain for that to work.
