ok my friend and i both have 1988 f250's. theyre both fuel injected and have 351 windsors. we have the same pipe size. we both have true dual exhaust with glasspacks. we both have single cab long beds. well his is so much louder than mine. he said that his friend did something to his exhaust and he wont say what it is. does any one know what he did? i know he didnt spray a hose up his exhaust to burn them out. he said that there is something that you do. so can any one let me in on this secret????? thanks
i mounted mine so when the air flows through them, the hooks inside are facing towards the rear. both of the trucks are true duals. from manifold back on each truck. theres no connector pipe on either truck.
His glasspacks are either mounted backwards, already burnt out or are shorter than yours. I assume that you both took off the big cat to get true duals run...
yes...neither of us have cats. i had my exhaust done about a month before he did. we both had the same person do our exhaust and we both have 10 inch glass packs. his are mounted closer to the front than mine are tho. does that make a difference??
well his are under that cab right when the pipes are horizontal. mine are towards the back right before it starts to go up over the rear axle. does that make THAT much of a difference.
Using a smaller diameter pipe OUT of the packs than IN is a classic way to really make them bark. That's what I'm going to do when the 'packs go in mine.
