Problems with removing shift arm

Hey guys, I recently just swapped out my 302 with AOD 4 speed out of my 86 F-150, and Put in a 302 with same tranny out of a 91 Crown Vic. All is good with the swap except the shift arm that is attatched to the slotted stud. On the Crown Vic is in park, the shift arm is in 12 o'clock, and it pulls out of Park. On the original shift link from the truck, the arm is at 6 o'clock and pushes out of park. I tried to fab something up but couldn't quite make it fit. I was wanting to know how to take that shift arm off so that I can just switch them out instead of trying to fab it up.
