Your title says .25 over, but 25mm is 0.984 inches!!!!! Now THAT'S an overbore!

You know, I just assumed that the guy made a mistake in his listing.

Can you really overbore one by 25mm??

Not without joining the water passages with the cylinders. You'd need an original wall thickness of over 1/2 inch to overbore that much. The walls are nowhere near that thick.
He either made a big mistake or doesn't know what he has. Hard to tell which one from here...

Ken, I would bet that he means .025" over.
1/4" (.25) would make it run hotter than a 9-balled tomcat. 25MM would make it scrap iron.

Yea - but that's .005" to the side, Charlie, which to me means that it don't mean much...

I obviously know nothing about boring out engines...really...

I just thought it was humorous when he said it was 25mm. I figured .25 was correct but .025 sounds more reasonable. However....I'd still stay away from it.

most engine builders work over sizes close to ours. .25 mm = about .010 in our books. being its a 415 inch block big orn is dead on correct its not much of a cubic inch gain.
by the way guys 6 hours of walking around sema. i'm half dead and playing with my lap top in the hotel waiting for plane time home. the shows unreal.

I didn't know that, Mike. Is that .020" oversized or .020" to the side, which makes it .040" oversized?

.25 overbore

wouldn't that add around 30 cubic inches to the 6.8 ? (never mind the pistons would be rubbin against each other)
