Trans code on 01 F350
I'm having tranny troubles on my truck the truck has 110K and I'm running some mods. On Monday the Trans started to Not shift between 1st and 2nd without me letting up on the gas. Yesterday afternoon the truck OD light started to flash and kicked out p0837 code. It is realted to a 3rd to 4 th gear shift problem. I cleared the code and it has not returned. Any sugestions on what to do to fix the problem without a total R&R. I'm hoping that I patch it with a new valve body but I'm don't know much about auto Trans so any help or sugestions are apprectiated. Thanks

I'm not an auto tranny guy either, but there are several members here that know them well. Hang out for a bit and I'm sure someone will venture an opinion.

Yeah, not good. I have friends that work at cottmans transmissions. I suggest you give them a call or any other tranny people you know. One of the first questions they asked me was if the od light was flashin. Worse case senario I had was a full custom rebuild that was the same at a suncoast tranny at 1000 bucks less. Mine cost 2600 rebuild and installed.

The OD light was flashing and it appears the trans is toast. I've got a BTS on order becasue they were a bit less expensive than the suncoast. We'll see. This time I should be in good shape. I'm adding a 6.0 trans cooler and a madnifine inline filter.
