Pimping my '89

I know its not the best year of truck to pimp out, but its what i got. I want to make my 1989 short bed ford look nice. I am curious as to what everyone thinks i should do (specifically, brands and such) to make my truck look better. Any advice will be appriciated. Thanks

LAST EDITED ON 20-Mar-01 AT 00:14 AM (EST)[p]Exactly what are you talking about doing to it? There are lowering kits, that run about $350. And there are a fwe other misceleaneous parts. But the aftermarket leaves it off right there. Your options for an 87-91 Ford Pickup are slim.

A couple of custom hoods, running boards, bedcovers, wheels (of course), a grille, and that's about it. And the hoods, the prices start at $440! So, they leave us out, and charge us out the whazzoo to buy the parts.

1988 F-150, SWB, 5.0 EFI (formerly 4.9 EFI), M5OD 5 speed, 3.08 gears, Summit shorty truck headers, Custom built Flowmaster exhaust system. Force 4 LP6000 lightbar, Federal signal PA-300 100 watt siren, Icom IC-V100 50 watt mobile radio.

1965 F-100 (just purchased 1/18/01), SWB, 390, C-6 auto. Dual exhaust, Not much else to do to it.

Mine doesn't have true duals, but it has daul pipes out the back. And it sounds just as good as some of the true dual mustangs running around. Of course, mine is a very fre flowing system. Shorty headers, high flow cat, and a two chamber single in dual out flowmaster, with two 3.5" diamter 24' long exhaust tips. It will definitely set off car alarms.
