pneumatic hammers are good. I use the hammers to drive rivets I can't tell you specific numbers but almost all good air hammers are going to have a raiting of some number followed by an X a 3X gun is fairly small we use it to rivet into thin aluminum aircraft skin with smaller alluminum rivets. 5X is what you use on the larger aluminum rivets with thicker skin, and by the time you get to a 9X or 10X that's when you really start ripping holes in stuff that's not fairly thick. I agree with the Chicago Pneumatics of all the hammers I've used they generally seem to be a really good quality.
