throttle position sensor
I have a 1990 F150 with a 4.9l engine. It has a slight hesitation at 35-40 mph in 4th gear. Also can be felt at 25-30 mph in 3rd gear. I have done all the obvious stuff. Plugs,wires,cap, rotor, coil.air filter, fuel filter, injector clean. I have a Haynes manual and have checked the tps according to their method. I get a voltage that is the exact oppisite of what it should be when I back-probe the sensor wiring. When I check the sensor without the wiring harness connected, the resistance is within reccomendations. This doesn't make sense to me. Could the manual be wrong or is this possible? Thanks for any help.
