I just installed a coolant filter on my "05 6.0 and it is a really nice kit...but if you get one, examine the aluminum "t" fitting that goes in the upper heater hose carefully. Mine came apart in my hands when I was installing it. The smaller T leg of the fitting was simply pressed into the body of the piece without threads or welds. I took it to a nearby welding shop and had it welded in and completed the install, but if it hadn't come apart when it did...BAD Bad things could have happened.

What brand did you buy?
Mine is dieselsite.com and it was a machined part for the "T" fitting.
Mine was a Dieselsite unit also, but the part was not machined. The main body of the T was a machined piece and the smaller sized arm was pressed in with a small shoulder. I sent Bob at Deiselsite a heads up on it and he has already replied. I 'm sure this one was just a fluke, but it wouldn't hurt to check.
