Once again this website and message board has proven itself invaluable. Not long after buying my 2000 F250 PSD, I read about the cam sensor going out somewhere around 100k miles. Mine had 90k when I got it a year ago and about 116k now. I went to the local IH truck dealer and bought one to keep in the glovebox. Not a lot different from my 79 and its spare electronic box I keep behind the seat. Last week it gave up while I was running around town for some parts for work. Within 10 minutes I had it changed and I was back up and running. Without knowing about the sensor I would have been screwed and looking at a hefty tow and repair bill. Thanks to everyone who shares their wealth of knowledge about our Ford Trucks.
