2001 5.4 sparkplugs

I just bought a 2001 supercrew with a 5.4 V-8. after reading a little about it I am now worried about the spark plugs. What do I need to do to stay on top of this to avoid any problems in the future.

I don't think there is any pre checks to keep the plugs from blowing, kinda just happens. it may have to do with heat. you really can't control that though.
