Ok im going to be replacing Upper and Lower Ball Joints and possible the CAM KIT on my 95 F-150 2WD 5.8 L V-8 what am I going to need and how long should it take? Im asking because i heard the ball joints have to pressed out and I dont have access to a press also the CAM KIT might need to be replaced dont know what that is but Pepboys said i needed 1 they quoted me 540 dollars for Upper and Lower Ball Joints and Cam Kit. What do you guys think?
on my 93 4x4 it was murder, but that was only because the hubs had to come off...yours don't. the CAM kit you are referring to is the camber adjustment bushing...do yourself a favor and replace the wheel bearings while you are at it, they are cheap and saves you in the future. Doing ball joints on a 2wd shouldn't be that bad...make sure you have a pickle fork (ball joint seperator).
