The ultra start also has this feature.It can also be programed to start every hour,every other hour,every 3 hours,every 4 hours, and so on.Plus it pages you when the alarm goes off,it tells you when the truck is running.

 

does the 25 second relay come with the alarm kit?

 

it depends on the alarm.

 

im likin the compustar kit, but it doesnt specify if it comes with a relay. it just says its diesel ready..

 

I never heard of that one before.

Hello all....I just had installed at Short Circuit City....a Python 1400XP. It was somewhat of a challange for the installer even though he knew precicely what he was dealing with. I threw him a curve ball though. I had installed little running board lights (Wifey has hard time seeing at night) so ANYTIME the dome light is on, the running boards are on...curve #1....On my 2002 Ford decided to send a "resistance" signal to the little squggly light that represents the glow plug. He could not use the resistance signal, so I had to purchase a "timer box" that would delay the start for 15 seconds. It worked fine about 3 starts then reverted back to "instant start"...Bad thing...he ordered another delay and it works like a charm now!! He also hooked up the channel that normally pops the trunk to my dual air horns so watch out.........if I see anyone looking too closely at the truck........BEEEEEEEEEEEP.....they get a shot of ACAS..."Airhorn Collision Avoidance System" at 30 feet, they HURT....and the turbo feature is great.......10 minutes and it shuts off and I love the timed start.....12 minutes every 3 hours.........sucks for fuel milage but jumping in a nice warm truck in the winter or shoveling snow in the seat in the summer sure is nice......Take care, Dave
