front axle not engaging

My 1997 f 350 4x4 dually (early style) will not engage the front axle when shifted into 4x mode in either high or low. Linkage is working @ transfer case but no action to front wheels. Any ideas on the problem? thanks!

Auto locking hubs

The auto locking hubs are failing, dump them and get some manuals. Common problem, 15min. fix with new hubs
