4x4 won't engage

I have a 2005 4x4 King Ranch and the front axles will not engage. When I turn the **** on the dash all lights come on but no axle engagement. I have one vacuum solenoid by the battery not the two everyone refers two. Any ideas as too why one solenoid not two. Transfer Case and shaft to front diff.are fine.

Sounds like the solenoid on the passenger side firewall (behind the battery) isn't working.

Had a similar problem on the 04 in my sig.

Lights worked, but no 4wd.

you could take and unhook the little black rubber hose from the top of each Iwe right above where the half shaft connects to it, then try to turn the half shafts by hand, if you can't turn them then they are locked in and the problem is probably the solenoid on the firewall like MBBFord said.
