Has anyone used a combination of TPI gauges (programable) with the mustang tank (at the rear)? Will the mustang sending unit work with the TPI gauge? Or must some other sending unit be used? Thanks

Ford and Chrysler gauges operate on a sender resistance range of 73-12 Ohms. If that's what the TPI gauge is designed for it will work. If you have any paperwork with the TPI gauges it should tell you what resistance range the gauge works within. If not, it's a crapshoot as to whether it will work or not as it depends on how the guage was calibrated at the factory. I'm not familiar with programable gauges except speedometers. If you have some kind of programmable gas level gauge that's another story...

I have a Chevy Van gas tank.
I had to mount the TPI sending unit to the stock sending unit which as you has the fuel pickup lines incorporated with the tank. I think you may be able to use the TPI sending unit as is and mount it in your tank. My Sending is so big I had to do something different. I had talked to the TPI Tech Rep at the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville and this is what he recommended I do. One piece of advice make sure you get the arm adjust right. Even after I did this to mine this spring my gauge pegs out to empty at a half tank but that did not stop me from putting 5000 on my truck this summer. I hope this helps if you got anymore TPI tech gauge questions let me know I can probably help.
Thanks
