Odd engine noise

My 2004 V-10 is doing the same thing around 45-55 mph. Does sound like gravel in a can. Goes away when I accelerate and cause it to kick into another gear. I have only 27,000 miles on my truck. I had Ford look at it ( but I didnt go on a test drive with them) which I doubt they did. They just hooked it up and checked for codes. None came back and the tech suggested diff Gas Station. Been there done that no help... Curious as to what this could be. I know for sure its not a heat shield. I had one go on my 1993 Ranger so I know that sound.

What other ideas yall have??

My truck makes an odd sound as well..... I have an 03 super with the 5.4 and recently (Starting to get cool in Canada) when the truck is cold, I go to start it, and as soon as the truck takes off on itself i get a "Pea gravel in a can" sound as well....Only mine sounds like its right at the back of the head(Driver Side).... It only lasts for a second or so but its kind of a concern for me. The flywheel has been giving me grief lately( stater not engaging) and thought maybe its a few loose teeth flying around the bellhousing but that sounds too far fetched......When the truck is up to temp id does not make the sound. Any help is fine
