I searched and never found anything definite. Can I get some straight forward destructions (Ha! Ha!) on by-passing the rear window switch ? I am so tired of problems with this dang $*#!@! window I could almost puke. What wires do I jumper to bypass the switch ?
Thanks in advance fellow BRONCO drivers !
Frank
PS: I don't have all of my manuals avalilable at this time.
Which switch to you want to bypass, the dashboard switch or the keyswitch in the gate? The dashboard switch uses the BLUE/BLACK wire as the power feed. Jump from it to the PINK/LT.GREEN wire and ground the PINK/LT.BLUE wire to run the window UP and vice-versa to go DOWN.

I did it a while back on my 94 Bronco......just get in there with a short piece of test lead and poke around a bit you will soon find the two points in the connector that need to be jumped. If I am not mistaken you can make a piece of wire thats like 2 inches long and put a spade connector on each end and plug that right into the connector on the safety switch.
Thanks Greystreak92, what I want to do is make it where I can roll up the back window whether the door is all the way shut or not.

So you are talking about bypassing the safety interlock switch in the tailgate. Thats a different matter. That switch is located near the driver's side latch. It has a RED/YELLOW wire and an TAN/BLACK wire running to it. To bypass it, simply disconnect them from the switch and splice them together. Be very careful doing this though. The interlock switch is there for good reason. If the window is not all the way down when the gate is open or it gets run up even a small bit while the gate is open the potential is there to destroy the window when the gate is shut. The interlock switch really just keeps you from being able to run the window while the tailgate is open. If you want to defeat the switch temporarily to work on the window mechanism, you can simply close the driver's side latch to "fool" the switch into "thinking" the tailgate is closed.
I don't mean to highjack this thread but, ya'll seem like you might know the answer to my window switch question. I have a '94 model and the down side of the tailgate key switch is bad. I am trying to keep mine bone stock (It's a 16K miles all original survivor) so I need the Ford part number or a good source for a quality replacement key activated window switch. Thanks!
RanchRods,
If you can get the old one out and get a number from the switch itself, you may be able to find the individual switches somewhere like Newark Electronics.
Thanks for the tip, I ordered the harness yesterday from my Ford dealer along with the weatherstrips. They actaully had it in the local dist. center. I guess sometimes you get lucky......LOL
