cast vs moly rings???

i just got back from my engine shop and after talkin to the owner of the shop he said that i should go with a cast piston ring from hastings. i ask about the moly rings and he said that the cast ones are better unless i was planning on racing. after an ego check i told he no i was not going to race it much just a saturday night drag or 2. so i figured i would come ask the experts. its a 400 bored.060 over it has flat top keith black pistons. goin to be running roller everything and the edelbrock heads for it. any more info needed (like i am sure there is) let me know.

From: Destin/Ft. Walton Beach,
Cast rings seat much easier then moly, and under less then perfect conditions. The factory rings that can last 300,000 miles are cast. I use cast rings in every build I do too. Why use anything else? I would rather use a zero top gap type ring though, instead of the stock Hastings. I did use Hastings on an ultra cheap build for a guy once though, and they worked just fine. I had less then $300 total in rebuild parts for a 302.
