Yesterday my trans seemed to be in "safelock" mode. Pulled codes P0750, P0755, P743, P1754. Replaced VSS, checked TPS (working), then cleared all codes. Then went to KOEO, same codes pop up right away. Checked wiring harness and cleaned connectors, started up and everything working-I'm a happy camper. Today I start up and problem is back, I've been through all the connectors and wiring harness again since that seemed to take care of the problem, but this time no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, aloha.
No, none of the codes are for the VSS or TPS. I changed the VSS since I had one, expecting the original to eventually go out. The TPS I was able to check operation through the scanner. P1745, that's the one code I didn't have a reference for. Do you know which connector on the tranny this one is?
I'm not near the coast, but previous owner used the truck for towing a dune buggy so truck did have exposure to sand/mud. As mentioned earlier, I checked wiring harness and connectors and problem did correct itself for a day, if it was PCM problem would that still be possible? Just trying to not think the worst. If it is the PCM, would a reflash be all that is required? Thanks guys for all the input, aloha.
I've been cleaning connectors and putting dielectric grease. Checked all but 1 connector at the tranny. Can't get to it, it's at the top/rear side of tranny. Probably the the 1 that's gonna be the problem though. I will try to get at it tomorrow. Hope I can nail this thing, hate to have to take it in, will let you know, aloha.
