Im hooking up my ehuast brake that i bought off of ebay, but i have one problem.Im trying to find a 12 volt power sorce, but switched. Can any one tell me what wire to use?It also has to be able to handle 20 amps.I also would like to be able to plug it in right next to the master cylinder, right next to the air box.

Twenty amp load? I would rig up a load reduction relay for that much current. End up cooking whatever circuit you tapped into. It was only designed to a certain amount and to add 20 amps. Well it would work for a while and then you'd be dealing with overheated connectors and brittle wiring.
Well thats what the instuctions say,but i dont think that it needs that. All the wires are small, not big enough to handle 20 amps,I really dont think it needs 20.
The one we offer only needs 7.5A load. Your option is to find that somewhere on the fuse panel. You could also use the customer access wires, typically found on the right side and behind the fuse panel cover.
I converted my EBPV to a brake a long time ago. It works great, but probably not quite as good as some of the purpose built ones. I'm guessing that they provide more back pressure and therefore better braking effort than simply converting the EBPV. However I hardly have to use the service brakes right now when going down the pass if I have the brake on.
