Sorry, mine's an 86, probably all different. Mine does come out but it takes some doing. I got into it several years ago when changing the windshield. Never looked at the 78.

Bdox its waaaaaay different...and Hypoid just buy a new one and cover the holes with body filler or fiberglass...repaint and never worry about it rusting inside...or outside if painted really well and cleared...or use the old one...

Yeah, that's one of those things. Once I put it back on the road, it'll be my dd no matter what.
I've been tossing a few ideas; cowl induction, positionable bi-directional scoop. They all start with an angle grinder and access to the rust under the grate. I really don't want to remove the windshield. LOL

ahh u know what if u wanted to u could prolly put scoops on the side of the cowl with some mesh in them and still fill in the top part...that would look sweet...still use the heater too
