460 carb problems

460 carb problems
I have a 56 F100 with a 460 tricked up engine, my problem seems to be in the Edelbrock 600cfm carb. When the truck sits for more than a day I have a rough time getting it started, it has en electric choke,it almost seems like the carb is out of fuel and I have to crank it awhile to refill the carb. The engine runs fine after it starts except on take off from a stop it does seem the bog just for a sec and then goes.I replaced the accelerator pump in the carb but it didn't seem to make much difference. Should I start to play with the MSD distributor as far as timing? Any help?
