take the red and blue and run the wires to a toggle switch. install one wire on each of the terminals. now the back up lights are on a switch. next the other two wires simply connect them and you can start it.

here in the commonwealth of Va ,state inspection requires that the truck has a NSS ,mine was only 5 months old before it went again so i have no back up lights or the Nss til i replace it ,i have it hotwired so to speak, MIke

sorry to hear that here they never checked for that they just make sure your horn,wipers,lights, turn signals work. its not really strict here.I will probably run a switch for my b/u lights like ford390 suggested.
