need c6 help!!

need c6 help!!
Well I just bought a c6 from tci transmission for my 69 f100, it just came in but it looks longer than the one out of my truck, I am not at the shop right now so I don't have the meens to measure them right now but it looks like the tailshaft housing is longer on the one that was just delivered. Do I have to swap out tailshaft housings, If so how difficult is this?
