It's a 77 1/2 ton 4x4, 4spd and I have abit of an exhaust manifold issue. I can get no headers to fit and I dont wanna spend money to have some fabbed but here's the problem. Engine is from a '68 Torino GT....being as it has the car heads getting something to bolt up is a problem in itself. The driver side manifold exits right by the clutch linkage and has no room to even bend exhaust pipe for it. Anyone know where I can get a manifold that exits down like a blockhugger type thing? Something that matches that passenger side.
Take a look at my gallery under "headers 101" and see what you think. This is a set of Sanderson headers that are originally made to fit the 351C engine but as you can see they are mounted on a 400 in a '77 F150 4x4.
link no work. my biggest problem is no one's headers fit....i've tried several, called companies and they dont work for my application. I wish I could get some nice tri-ys made for it buuuut...too much green.
sorry it should have worked, I went to ebay and typed in 390 headers, and it had a sit of longtubes for 73-79 ford trucks. They are used but cheap price.35.00
