Steering Stabilizer

These are sold for 2wd, twin I-beam trucks. How do they work or do they work at all?

I use one on a 4wd and it works good on it. I had alot of play in the front end is why I put it on in the first place. But after fixing all the problems I took it off. Later I put on power steering and I put it back on because the power steering was to ez.

I think they work very good, I have had about two trucks that had them
and they seem to take the play out of the steering !

P.S
I think that adding sway bars would work well with one, but I have not tried
this (yet)!

I have one on my '69. Seems fine. I really can't say if it really makes that much difference now. I run 4" front runner tires, so there is not alot of contact patch to worry about. The truck has always had bias ply tires, so wandering has been an issue forever.

The steering stabilizer help to Provides increased steering stability on rough roads by reducing bump steer. Helps to reduce premature suspension component wear. I run them on my truck and boy what an improvement in the steering and control of the vehicle. This is one upgrade you will enjoy.

When I used to have manual steering on my 4X4 'F-100, I found out the hard way how fast your steering wheel can rotate when you hit a big rock or the curb with one of the front tires. My stabilizer went bad, so without it noticed a big dif. Oh that power steer is so nice, why did I wait so long...

Berth66, thats a good idea! My main complaint with the old power steering was that there was to much power and you couldn't feel the road. I am going to try the steering stabilizer and see how that works.

One must fix all worn parts for the steering and suspension, for the steering to be effective.
