This same car came to me with two GIANT driving lights mounted to the front bumper..I mean big suckers, about the diameter of Basket *****, HUGE frickin lights, little dinky car.
Rally (Rallye) car lights? Seen lots of Triumph TR7 rally car pix with those big frickin' lights (can you tell I'm a Triumph guy?)
When I first saw a Renault back in 66,they were the first car I ever saw with radial tires, Michelin of course, and they sure handled good compared to our Fords with their bias ply crap.
Oh my god Fred! Just now able to get up off the floor. I did the same thing as a 16 year old kid with a POS Renault10. It was the only thing my Dad would let me drive (like I was going to argue). Almost lost my teeth. I never dreamed I would come across someone else who did this with one of these cars. Yea I realize there were many who did it with model A's (T's?) but before my time. Thanks Fred for sharing.
