Just rebuilt my 1979 351W and have lost my flexplate shim..
this is the small ring that the flexplate bolts go through into
the end of the crank. The shim sits on the crank side of the
plate.
Parts store say there are two thicknesses .025 and.050
Using a C-6 Automatic. Any ideas which shim is correct???
Further to my post....I took the engine/trans
out over a year ago....The parts guy says the shim
goes on the crank side, but maybe it goes on the
converter side in the depression of the flexplate.
I dunno!!!! Help
