I would replace the 427 block I got last weekend for 500, sell the guts and install 4.25" arm, buckets and rods. Shipping to Cali would be high.

Ok Rusty say you had the money, say you won it, say you went and brought it home. Then what would you do with it. Exactly what
I'd probably build it! If I had the money to buy it, I'd probably have the money to build it up too.
Lets see... (begins to dream)
Standard bore 427 with 428 stroke, that would make 448 cubic inches. I'd throw on a set whatever Keith Craft's highest flowing ported heads are, with 2.19 / 1.73 valves. I'd use the included pistons, which look like dome pistons, and probably wind up with some extremely high compression ratio. Then, I'd use a Crane 348831 mechanical roller cam, with accompanying valvetrain modifications. Then, I'd put an Edelbrock Victor intake on there, topped off with an 1100cfm Holley Dominator carb. Drop that baby into an early Fairlane, put on some open stepped tube racing headers, (maybe even zoomies) and go drag racing. THATS what I would do.
Unfortunately, I dont have the giant piles of cash laying around that I would need.
DROOOOOOOLLLLL!!! New London is only 30min. from my house. That would go great in my CJ Stang! I could pull the orginal out and have some fun with no worries of destroying the original. Anyone have a few grand laying around they want to donate to save the Mustang foundation.
