DTC code P1405
4.0L OHV V6 Explorer Sport 4x4
Was driving to work and the light popped up, so after work i stopped at advance and had them pull a code for me, the code that popped up reads as follows:

Manfacurer Contrl.
Auxiliary emission
Controls
Naturally the guy at advance stood there, dumbfounded, had no clue what was what. What does this code mean, how can I fix it? Thanks for ya'lls help.

FTL94, code 1405 is : "Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) Sensor Upstream Hose Off or Plugged."
The DPFE sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine, about halfway down the bank. Check for a loose or cracked vacuum hose. The code says it's the upstream hose, but I'd check all of them.....

sure enough, that hose has had it, the other hose looks to be fine, but i might just replace it bc it might not last much longer itself, thanks.
Good tip from Jharger on using high-temp hose. EGR stuff gets
very
hot.
